Milestones Mommy + Me

Our 8-week series is a place where you (+ your little) come to reassuringly connect in the ups, downs, and in-betweens of motherhood, parenting, and this all-consuming life stage of babies. Milestones’ groups are where conversations, questions, and the interest of group members mix with research-back topics and insights designed to ease your mind and enhance your joy in motherhood.

WELL-MAMAS counseling

We believe that motherhood does not have to be lonely...yes, you may be surrounded by family, friends, and the everlasting responsibilities of a new child at home...but many new moms are left feeling judged by others, unable to meet the unrealistic standards of what motherhood *should* be, and overwhelming uncertainty of how to manage their new "normal."

Groups provide mamas with immediate emotional support, a space to share stories of motherhood without judgement, and the ability to develop and improve a positive mama self-image.

Luna mama

I am Metztli a Mexican sobadora, doula, childbirth educator, lactation counselor, anthropologist, feminist, mom, sister, daughter, friend, advocate of women's rights and environmentalist.

My story started with my experience during my first pregnancy while I was living in Mexico. During that time rural women (mujeres del campo) shared their knowledge about pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding, and newborn care. I learned to use traditional medicine like herbs, massages and food to heal my baby and myself.

Later on after my B.A., my master's degree and extensive experience working and researching about women's health, pregnancy and working among traditional midwives I found that my true vocation is to provide services during all stages of women's life based on our relationship with our female body. That was the way that Luna Mamá was born in the rain forest of Veracruz in 2012.

Mama, You don't have to do this alone

What if, you could shift from  parenting panic to pleasure. That you could find practices that not only help you feel in control of your body, but dare I say - like a vibrant woman again? In the midst of chaos.

Mama, YOU are the eye of the storm.

It's time to get to know who you are, outside of crisis.
